Ned Hamson's Second Line Look at the World

Summer in California

Ned Hamson says:

I grew up with this and hope Mt. Wilson makes it through undamaged - tonight’s the night. Is it any wonder that I have little or no interest in reality shows.

Some say their heroes always were cowboys - mine were these men and women - YES since the 1970s women have been on the firelines too.

How’d you spend you summer vacation?

Congo Basin Genocide: Truth and Reconciliation?

Ned Hamson says:

Read and wonder will the world stand by the next genocide - well it already is taking place in the Sudan. Figuring out why we let this happen and how we play into it is step one for preventing the next one and ending this one - no?

Take Action: Sign Our Online Petition to World Leaders

Approximately 1 million men, women and children were killed in the horrific Rwandan genocide of 1994.

Sadly, the actions that led to the genocide have never been fully revealed. The conflicts that preceded the genocide continue to this day. This means that justice has not been done for victims or survivors. It also means that related ethnic violence is continuing in nations bordering Rwanda such as the Congo, where 5 million have now died.

You can help change this. Fill out the form below to send a free, instant message asking world leaders to support an internationally administered Truth and Reconciliation Commission for the Great Lakes Region of Africa.

I am writing to urge you to support the creation of an internationally administered Truth and Reconciliation Commission for the Great Lakes Region of Africa, which includes Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda and the Congo.

Red Lobster Read This - Illegals Coming Off the Menu!

Ned Hamson says:

Red Lobster is not the only organization that profits from illegally obtained marine life that ends up on the menu but they are one of the largest seafood fast food retailers. So the price of fame - get singled out - grin.

They used to say you could walk on the water on backs of cod when they were running off the coast of Maine and Massachusetts - no more. Of course they used to say that about salmon in Scotland, the Pacific Northwest, tuna off the California coast, Abalone off of California - Norte and Baja but no more.

Gotta have fish three times a day since you gave up you beef or pig three times a day? Think again!

Go rent the movie Soylent Green and think about it being about the world in 2020!

Trapped, Enraged, Sinking into Fight4Hire Hell

Ned Hamson says:

It’s sad, enraging, bizarre, ugly, understandable, mysterious - what is it? War and warrior for hire. We don’t need to aid and abet this anymore - bring them all home!

Steroids, drink and paranoia: the murky world of the private security contractor

Terri Judd on the guns for hire fighting for business in Iraq and Afghanistan

It was the world to which Danny Fitzsimons, a 29-year-old former soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and paranoia, and with an extensive criminal past, returned three weeks ago.

Despite rules against alcohol, his ArmorGroup colleagues welcomed him with a drinking session. A fight broke out and he shot and killed two of them – a Briton, Paul McGuigan, and an Australian, Darren Hoare – then wounded an Iraqi, Arkhan Mahdi. He faces a premeditated murder charge and execution if found guilty.
